Buttonoelium gemino ("Reproducing HMTL Buttons")
Buttonoelium gemino

Buttonoelium gemino, the Reproducing HMTL Button, in it's native habitat in an HTML form. B. gemino looks identical to the more common B. perpello Common Button

Binomial name
Buttonoelium gemino
(Rudolphi, 1819)
The remarkable lifecycle of Buttonoelium gemino, also known as the Reproducing HMTL Button, mimics the behavior of B. perpello or "Common Button" to facilitate reproduction triggered by interactions from adjacent species, such as the common mouse pointer and touch screen events.
Appearance
Reproducing Buttons can look identical to Common Buttons, even when examined with browser tools such as Inspector. Button text on B. gemino can vary, but is typically contextual for the page habitat they are found.
Reproductive Mimicry
Reproductive mimicry occurs when the actions of the dupe directly aid in the mimic's reproduction. In the case of B. gemino, the Reproducing Button mimics the appearance and behavior of the more common HTML button in order to reproduce with the help of pollen spread by mouse pointer interactions. When the Reproducing Button is clicked by unsuspecting users, B. gemino is able to reproduce.
Mutation
Mutation is a genetic operator used to maintain genetic diversity from one generation of a population of genetic algorithm chromosomes to the next. It is analogous to biological mutation. Mutation alters one or more gene values in a chromosome from its initial state. In mutation, the solution may change entirely from the previous solution.
Mutations may or may not produce discernible changes in the observable characteristics (phenotype) of an organism. Mutations play a part in both normal and abnormal biological processes
B. gemino is especially apt to mutation from generation to generation. This high degree of mutablity may make the Reproducing Button unrecognizable from prvious generations of ancestors.
